Arrangements for Meetings to Elect Churchwardens, and Annual Parochial Church Meetings

Our Annual Meetings this year will be held on Tuesday 24th November, with the Meetings to Elect Churchwardens commencing consecutively from 7pm, and the APCMs beginning simultaneously with common business at 7.10pm, before separating into separate parish meetings for local business.  Details on attending are immediately below, with links to reports, rolls, and accounts for each parish at the foot of this page.

For obvious reasons, things have to be a little different this year. In order to enable our annual meetings to happen safely, in a way that everyone can engage with, we have taken the decision to conduct them on Zoom.

If you are able to join on a computer, tablet, or mobile phone you can find the meeting by either using the meeting details (id and password), or using this link,  if you already have the Zoom application installed. Please do make sure your username is recognisably you.

Meeting ID: 882 5288 6822
Password: 521816

If you don't have access to, or don't want to use a computer you can also join the meeting over a normal phone call. You will be able to hear everyone, and speak to everyone - but obviously not be seen, or see anyone.

It's very simple:

  1. On a regular phone (landline or mobile), dial one of these numbers to connect to zoom: 0203 481 5240 or 0131 460 1196
  2. When prompted enter the meeting id ' 882 5288 6822' followed by #
  3. When prompted for a 'participant id', you don't have one so just press #
  4. When prompted for the password enter '521816' followed by #
  5. You will be told you are in the meeting, and then told you have been put on hold.
  6. This is perfectly normal - everyone is automatically put on hold to let the 'host' (i.e. me) see who is trying to join - when I know it's someone we're expecting I can lift the hold. That stops people ending up in the wrong meeting by mistake!

The official meetings begin at 7pm, but the Zoom meeting will be available to join from 6.30pm. Please join at this time if you are unfamiliar with Zoom, as we will run through a number of the features, and explain how the meetings will be conducted on this
platform.
